Intoxicated With Love
“Intoxicated With Love” is my own wedding reception that was held at Alkaff Mansion Ristorante. To begin with, I was not the kind of bride who had a lot of concern about my gown, make-up or hairdo. My focus has always been about the design, the flow and the feel. From designing my own wedding invitation, arranging the event order, selecting wedding favours to hand-making decorative props to style the venue to the preset theme – Rustic, Blush & Vintage.
Pre-setup styling & reference
This wedding “project” is also the reason I took my first flower arrangement course. I LOVE flowers and without a doubt, I want to have the most beautiful flowers on my wedding, but they came with a price. So being the bridezilla-on-a-budget, I went to the extend of making 60 jars of flower arrangements the night before the wedding.
I can not thank my super-amazing bridesmaids and their partners enough, who were “voluntarily” dragged in to help. They helped us in SO many indescribeable ways. These included transferring the 60 pre-arranged jars from our house to the wedding venue, freshening the flowers with nourish spray, placing them according to the numbering of the jars and decorating the venue with the handmade props using my pre-setup photos as reference.

Whenever I look back at these pictures, it leaves me with a big smile as I recall how stunning the place turned out to be, the admiration from my guests and most of all, the amount of love from friends & family who helped us make everything possible.
